Finn & Roots Availability

Finn & Roots’ greens, basil, and cucumbers are available year-round. In the winter, we often grow specialty items such as tomatoes, peppers, cress, tatsoi, and more. All of our greens are grown to full size, and most are harvested weekly on Wednesday or Thursday, then shipped fresh to markets Friday morning.

Winter Crops

Several types of multi-leaf and oak leaf, cress, tatsoi, and other lettuce or greens varieties; European cucumbers; Genovese basil; mini peppers; cherry tomatoes.
 

Spring Crops

Several types of multi-leaf and oak leaf; cress and tatsoi; special spring greens like dandelion and mustard; butterheads; European and variety cucumbers; and, Genovese basil. We start to phase out the peppers and tomatoes.
 

Summer Crops

Several types of multi-leaf and oak leaf; cress and tatsoi; romaines; butterheads; European and variety cucumbers; and, Genovese basil. As we move into winter, we start up the other vine crops.
